Data Retention and Deletion Policy
1. Purpose
This policy explains how long personal data processed by Bridgeons is retained and under which circumstances it is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.
2. Scope
This policy applies to personal data processed through the Bridgeons website, platform, customer panel, manufacturer panel, admin panel, contact forms, email processes, and operational records.
3. General Retention Principles
Personal data is retained in accordance with the following principles:
- Lawfulness, fairness, and transparency
- Processing for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes
- Data minimization
- Accuracy and keeping data up to date
- Retention only for as long as necessary for the processing purpose or required by applicable law
4. Retention Periods
Account information is retained while the user account remains active.
RFQ, quote, order, production, and logistics data is retained for the period required by the business relationship and legal obligations.
Contact form data is retained for the period necessary to respond to the request and for a reasonable follow-up period.
Cookie preferences are retained for the period necessary to remember user choices.
Log records are retained for a reasonable period for security, error analysis, and misuse prevention.
5. Deletion, Destruction, and Anonymization
When the reasons requiring the processing of personal data no longer exist, data is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.
Deletion means removing data from systems in a way that it can no longer be associated with the relevant user.
Destruction means rendering data inaccessible, irretrievable, and unusable.
Anonymization means making personal data impossible to associate with an identified or identifiable natural person.
6. User Requests
Users may request deletion or destruction of their personal data by contacting Bridgeons. Requests are evaluated in accordance with applicable law and existing legal obligations.
7. Backup Systems
Data may be retained in backup systems for a limited period. Data in backups is periodically deleted or made inaccessible where technically feasible.
